> > | A nice early 80s set from The Reddings – the group featuring two sons of Otis Redding and a sweet set of funk steeped R&B! Dexter Redding plays bass, and there's a whole lot of bass in the mix, bringing some funk into the groove very nicely – with some post disco pop soul melodic numbers, that work very well, too. The Reddings bring out a mix of tighter, leaner numbers with pop funk style with a couple of sweet, string accented slow jams on Class and it's solid stuff! Titles include "Class (Is What You Got)", "If You Feel It", "Main Nerve", "Hurts So Bad", "Love Dance", "Love Is Over" and more > |

Low-D featuring Gary Poole. Low-D is Daniel Brelaz and Chris Godfrey both from Bern Switzerland. This is the debut album for Low-D. You may already have heard the title track 'You Bring The Change' of their record on the "Soul Unsigned.Vol.4" album or its related coverage. This track is one of my favourite.
The music is written in London UK and sounds typical like it. The album is a mixture of soul, acid-jazz, gospel, blues and pop music, and was recorded in North London at the Boogie Back Studio, with the help of a few of our friends Toby Baker(Keys), Ernie McKone(Drums) and Gary Poole who is the vocalist with good voice. Additional instruments were recorded in Switzerland and the album was brought back to England to be mixed and mastered. > |

The group's strength was strong hooks and a bass loving style, and that continues to rule the day on Back To Basics! Titles include "Hand Dance", "Erotic Groove", "I'm Ready", "Moon Rock", and "Back To The Basics" > |

>> | Lust, Love and Lies (An Audio Novel) set for release on September 14, 2010 Every story has an arc, and love stories are no different. There’s the initial encounter, the flirtation, the first date, the escalation, the passion…and then the map gets a little fuzzy. What comes next is hard to predict – rock-solid commitment and eternal devotion for some, disillusionment or even betrayal for others. Some stories end happily ever after, some not so much. Vocalist Will Downing has a tale of love to tell. It may or may not be based on a true story, but it’s one that we’ve all lived through at one time or another. Downing’s version, Lust, Love and Lies (An Audio Novel) – which he fondly calls “an audio soap opera,” complete with intermittent vignettes of intimate conversations that help move the story along > |
> > | The Awakening is a diverse album marked by romantic ballads, chunky dance tracks and even a fusion instrumental. The single, " Remote Control ," is a vibrant piece of dance music with Otis Jr. 's steady rhythm guitar, catchy ensemble vocals and Mark's smooth tenor gliding over a powerful rhythm track. "Remote Control" sets the tone forThe Reddings' other strong party songs "Funkin' On The One," "It's Friday Night ," and "Doin' It." On everyone of these songs Dexter's energetic lead bass lines and the trio's graceful harmonies again and again show the Reddings' great innate musical talent in action. > |

> > | Steamin' Hot early 80s grooves from The Reddings! It’s Aanice mix of slap-bass funk and mellower numbers – with the more laidback and mellow tunes winning out in our book! The funkier ones are nice, too – but the smoother tunes have an easygoing style of trading leads through harmonies that gives them an overall more put together feel. Titles include "Follow Me", "You Bring Me Joy", "Steamin Hot", "For You", "Time Won't Wait", and "You Can Be A Star". > |
