New album re-issue by The Emotions 'New Affair'

In the early eighties the Emotions released the album 'New Affair'. This album did not reach high in the charts. However the album is strong enough and highly in demand by disco funk fans to put it out on PTG Records again.
This album is produced by Billy Meyers, Wayne Vaughn and Maurice White (Earth Wind and Fire). Originally it's released on ARC records (American Recording Company) in 1981.
Bass players on this album are Neil Steubenhaus, Keni Burke and nevertheless Freddie Washington. This album stand guarantee with good bass work. Of course the almost perfect vocals of the Emotions itself.
Great funky tracks are: 'All Night, Alright', 'Love Lies', 'There'll never be another moment', the catchy 'Turn It Out'. |

New album re-issue by Melba Moore 'Closer'

In 1980, Melba Moore recorded, co-produced with the following producers Bruce Hawes and Victor Carstarphen the album “Closer”, which featured the dancer 'Something On Your Mind'. A lot of her albums were re-issued on CD but not this one. PTG is very proud that we finally succeeded in the release of this outstanding album of Melba Moore.
This album is also recorded in the Sigma Sound Studio and that means quality music. If you only look to the artists who did the backing. I name a few: The late Luther Vandross, Ullanda McCullough, Brenda White and Tawatha Agee. Great re-issue.

New album re-issue by Superior Movement 'The key To Your Heart'

Superior Movement were discovered by C.I.M. (Chycago International Music) who signed the group in 1981 and recorded their first single “For You” which reached a modest position (77) in the Billboard R&B charts. Early 1982 their debut album “The Key To Your Heart” was released and this contains the classic R & B hit “Wide Shot” (Billboard R&B #47). This still very much in demand soul album contains eight soulgems of which “Be My Cinderella” still is a very popular track in the international soulscene. The production en arrangements are from the hand of Donald Burnside, Glenn White and Tom Tom 84. The excellent horn section is from Earth Wind & Fire’s Phenix Horns. Their album ‘The Key To Your Heart’ is already for many years a collector’s item for soulfans all over the world. Now after 28 years of its first release PTG Records has this very much underrated album brought back on the market on CD. A real must have for every soulfan!
