Musical legend Ronald Isley is set to release his new studio album, This Song Is For You, on July 16, 2013. The album features 13 songs which showcase the unique sound that has kept Ronald Isley in the spotlight for over five decades. The first single, a slow jam about asking a beautiful woman to go on a first date, is titled "Dinner and a Movie.
The album also features guest appearances from today s R&B super stars KEM & Trey Songz.
Impressive as it is, This Song Is for You is just the latest chapter in Ronald Isley's stellar, remarkably resilient musical life, first as lead singer of the Isley Brothers and more recently as a solo performer. Recording hits in virtually every era of contemporary popular music, Isley has created an incredible body of work that encompasses countless immortal soul, R&B and rock 'n' roll classics, including "Shout," "Twist and Shout," "This Old Heart of Mine," "It's Your Thing," "That Lady," "Harvest for the World," "Fight the Power," "For The Love of You," "I Wanna Be With You" and "Don't Say Goodnight (It's Time For Love)."
Just released on red River Entertainment the brand new album by sax player Kim Waters. Again a smooth jazz album in high quality. Glenn Jones is featured on track 'I Wanna Love You'. Check the album page for some sound snippets.
The UK based soul group Personal Life have just released their outstanding album Morning Light. On this ten track album you will hear superb songs like the title soulful song 'Morning Light' with Latin influences. My favorite tracks are 'Classy Lady' sounds eighties an have nice strings and bass. 'Give Into The Night' sounds like a Nile Rodgers track because of the guitar riffs. The uptempo 'One Step Closer' full of brass, bass and nice guitar hooks. 'There's A Time For Everything' another great track on this album. You can compare the sound of Personal Life to 'Brand New Heavies' and 'Jamiroquoi'. Check the sound samples and support this group.
Sound samples added for the album The O' Jays Meet The Moments from 1975. Great collaboration of the O' jays and The Moments.
Just added sound samples of this superb album Call On Me by Evelyn ' Champagne ' King from 1980. This album is produced by T.Life
George Duke describes this album 'Dreamweaver' as his "strongest album in years." The brilliant keyboardist-composer-producer has gathered a myriad of voices and crystallizes them into a multi-faceted whole that far outweighs the sum of its parts. From bassist Christian McBride's work on the funky jam tune "Burnt Sausage" to Rachelle Ferrell s contemporary jazz singing on "Missing You," every song offers something special. The powerful centerpiece of the album, the positive and politically charged "Change the World," spotlights several up-and-coming young singers alongside some of the most prominent funk, soul, gospel and R&B artists of the last few decades: Lalah Hathaway (daughter of soul legend Donny Hathaway), Jeffrey Osborne, BeBe Winans, Lori Perry (of sister group Perri), Freddie Jackson and Terry Dexter, among others. A special bonus cut, Ball & Chain, features a duet with Duke accompanying the late R&B singer Teena Maria one of the last tracks she recorded before her sudden death in 2010.
