You can now register at The Ultimate Black Music Database to become a member.

As a member of The Ultimate Black Music Database you have the availability of creating a adobe PDF file of your favorit artist. Each PDF page can consist of eight albums of the artist including album, year, track and writer information.

To create a PDF file, login into the website and find the artist. On the artist page you see on the right upper corner a PDF icon.

As a member you have more features in the future such as a webstream, samples etc.

Hi Black Music Lovers. I did some modification on the scripts. The eighties was the default, this results in no album listings for 90s artists, but now you'll get at least a period which has a album or 12inch listed.

I introduced a new structure for listing the albums and 12inches. You can now better view per period which albums an artist has recorded. Period 1980-1989 is the default, because these years are Black Music DB speciality. If you want see the albums/12inches of an other period you can click the appropriate years. The default album sorting order is by year (descending).

I just updated the database with about 4000 soul funk albums, 400 old school artists from 1970 till now. At this moment the database constist of  2625 artists, 7219 songs, 18092 albums and 1383 producers. Also some rare albums from Smoke City, Future Flight, Orlando Johnson, Human Body, Antilles.are provided by tracks.

The artist Rick James has died. He was 56.

He was found at his home at 9.45 a.m., and apparently died from natural causes reports state.

This afternoon I added around 1200 tracks in the database. Tracks from albums like Brass Construction, Brick, Chic, Mutiny, Chas, Delegation, Dayton, Cheryl Lynn, Starpoint and many more. I also upped about 30 samples.
