The Ritchie Family started in 1975 as Cheryl Mason, Cassandra Ann Wooten and Gwendolyn Oliver. On the early albums the main sound was Disco. The first six albums were produced by the disco producers Jacques Morali and Ritchie Rome. The six albums are Arabian Nights, Life is Music, African Queens, Bad Reputation, American Generation, Give Me a Break. Let's sum up some well-known tracks, The BEst Disco in Town, Big Spender, American Generation, Give me a Break. All Disco anthems.

Thank God in 1982 a new producer stepped into the studio and worked with the new Ritchie Family girls. This time the lineup was Vera Brown (Too Much Too Fast), Jacqui Smith-Lee, and Dotje Draher. This album they recorded in 1982 is 'I'll do my best' and consist of eight tracks produced by Jacques Fred Petrus for Little Macho Music. Well-known name and stands for quality music. This album consist of the killer track 'I'll do my best (For You Baby)', I think no introduction is necessary. Quality tune. The Uptempo 'This Love's on Me' is another superb tune. A less known classy track is the mid tempo 'One and Only', put it on your record player and enjoy. You may also put the CD into your CD player. 'You Can Always Count On Me' is a slow tempo track with a great melody hook and superb sound.

Side B (Vinyl) or track 5 on the CD you will purchase from Vinyl-Masterpiece starts with 'Walk With Me' another fantastic down tempo tune with superb bass work. The up-tempo 'Alright on The Night' is a dance classic of the first kind. The bass is heavenly pumpin on 'Tonight I need To Have Your Love', and therefor a fantastic track. The last track on this album is a great Boogie track 'You've Got Me Dancin''. If you don't buy this album on CD you'll regret this after a few years when it's raised in price. This reissue is remastered from the orignal master tapes and therefor the sound quality is superb.

In short this reissue is worth to purchase from Vinyl Masterpiece. Superb sound quality because they are remastered from the original master tapes. This is a fantastic album with great tracks on it.
