For Calvin Richardson, 2009 was a banner year. He received not one, but two Grammy® nominations for his critically acclaimed musical tribute to Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer Bobby Womack, while the tune he co-wrote with Babyface, “There Goes My Baby,” became a #1 single for R&B legend “Uncle” Charlie Wilson. Richardson, dubbed “The Soul Prince” - returns to New York on April 8th, after a year’s absence to perform a blistering evening of R&B/Soul music along with “Aggressive Soul” star, ChinahBlac and Russell Taylor.

ChinahBlac honed her chops on the road with the best in the music industry performing and vocal arranging for the Dave Matthews Band, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott. With a voice that can only be compared to the likes of Chaka Khan, ChinahBlac is the next to be crowned Queen! Along with her band “The Collective”, ChinahBlac has opened for artists such as Common, Musiq, Anthony Hamilton, Erykah Badu, and others. On his Sophomore album Confessional, Russell Taylor draws on his Southern family roots, his Philly up bringing, and his academic prowess to create a collection of songs that speak directly to the heart while echoing sentiments of old Hollywood glamour intertwined with progressive yet classic soul.
