Bio

The LaFace vocal quartet, A Few Good Men, first made hype on LaFace Family Christmas in 1993, followed by their first try of success, Thang for You, released in 1994. Though, it wasn't until in 1995 the foursome caught the public eye with, Take a Dip. L.A. Reid, Daryl Simmons, Tony Rich, Dallas Austin, and Babyface's Urban/Club/Dance ready production helped Take a Dip on a respected dive to No. 53 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, while the singles "Have I Never" hit the top-40 and "Tonite" just a few spots shy of a top-40 hit. Today, A Few Good Men are virtually forgotten, last appearing on 1997's "Have I Never [Remix]" performed by the 69 Boyz and produced by Babyface and Daryl Simmons for the And Then There Was Bass: Dis Bass Game Real anthology. Take a Dip has enough enjoyable material to satisy the bittest mainstream listeners, not to mention fans of sweet harmonies.
