Scott Preston of cincygroove.com had the pleasure to sit down with Cincinnati's own Bootsy Collins and talk with him about his numerous musical projects and his restaurant/music museum that he has started with Jeff Ruby. Some of his notable projects he is involved in include a Fallen Soldiers memorial cd that includes Charlie Daniels and George Duke that will help raise funds for a Fallen Soldiers memorial to built here in Cincinnati. Bootsy is also heavily involved in bringing national attention to the history and influence that King Records has had on music.

On Friday evening the 9th of January at 22:00 (GMT+1) soulandfunkmusic.com will NOT be available for a few hours due to maintenance. How long it will take is not clear. During the weekend there can be some connectivity problems but this will be solved within 48 hours.

We heard the sad news that David Peaston has died on the 1st of February. Peaston started his career in 1989 with his debut album 'Introducing: David Peaston' on Geffen Rcords. A few years later in 1991 David recorded 'Mixed Emotions' on MCA. He also collaborated with Gladys Knight. May David Rest in Peace. He shall be missed.
