Dutch reissuer Vinyl-Masterpiece released volume 19 of their the ultimate disco funk collection. This CD contains 13 groovy tracks by well-known and less know funk disco artists, good for 67 enjoyable minutes. The opening track is 'Lovin'Fever' by Con Funk Shun from their 1983 album Fever. 'Bye Gones' is an outstanding track by Tom Browne from his 1981 album 'Yours Trully'. The third track is 'Peace Of Mind' from a underrated singer Genobia Jeter. This track is from her album Genobia. 'Sweet Heat' by Chocolate Milk is well-known by Funk lovers, and is from their album Friction, which also contains the superb 'Who's gettting it now'. 'Way Out' by Dynasty is from the late eighties album 'out Of Control'. Also from the Solar Records label is track #6 'Men' by 'Carrie Lucas'. Vinyl-masterpiece took the track 'Love Me Tonight' from Attitude's album Pump The Nation. This track is written by David Frank and Mic Murphy of the System. From Ago's Album For You, released on Full Time records in 1982, the title track is also available on this compilation. One of the rarest tracks on this CD is track #12 Sqeeze Play from The Malemen's album Express Male All Night Service of 1984. Further tracks are from: Donna McGhee, Gift of dreams, Midnight Express and American Gypsy.
As you can read all these tracks are from eigthies albums. And these track are tremendous good, a perfect reason to check the particular albums out to discover more of these superb tracks.
