Phyrework released this selftitled album originally in 1978 on Mercury Records. It was their first and at the same time the last. The album didn't sell so Mercury didn't put any effort in Phyrework. It contains nine tracks with a mix of very funky, jazz funk, and mellow soul tunes. The members of Phyrework are lead singer Clarence Pitts, guitarist Willie Smith, bassist Gerald Calhoun, keyboardist Frank Hames, trumpeter Jim Foster, saxophonist Bill Eden, and drummer John Bryant. This album is produced by 'Con Funk Shun' member Mike Cooper (Michael), you can hear that in the sound on 'Put Your Hands Up', 'Do You Feel The Same', 'Fly Away' and 'My Funk'. Michael Cooper did also some guitar work on this album. If you like work of 'Con Funk Shun' then you have to, at least, listen to this masterpiece.
