If you like 70s jazz-funk, funk, than this cd 'Hear It Is' from Bulk is a must have. If you like the music of blaxplotation movies, then this is it. The sound is unbelievable, it's the seventies, lot's of wah wah, Isaac Hayes sounds, superb. Bulk recorded this album during a live webcast performance at Ex'pression in Emeryvill, CA in the spring of 2009. There were no second takes or overdubbing sessions. Bulk started a few years ago at John Patricks in Alameda and now headlines Saturday nights at the Boom Boom Room in San Francisco. These guys keep the funk alive! Remember this is live recorded.
