Glenn Jones is an American R&B singer-songwriter who was born on October 27, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida. He grew up in a musical family and started singing in church at a young age. He went on to attend college at the University of Florida, where he studied music.

In the early 1980s, Jones became a member of the R&B group, the Modulations. He contributed lead and backing vocals to the group's albums, and co-wrote several of their songs. However, he left the group after their first album to pursue a solo career.

Jones' solo debut album, "Finesse," was released in 1984 and featured the hit single "Show Me." The album was a commercial success and established Jones as a major force in the R&B music scene.

Over the years, Jones released several successful albums, including "Take It from Me" (1986), "All for You" (1990), and "Feels Good" (1992). His music was characterized by its smooth, soulful sound, and his powerful and emotive vocals.

In addition to his success as a recording artist, Jones is also known for his songwriting and production work. He has written and produced songs for a number of artists, including Regina Belle, Johnny Gill, and Dionne Warwick.
