COLONEL ABRAMS released Five albums from 1986 till 1996. The first album COLONEL ABRAMS released in the eighties is 'Colonel Abrams' on MCA Records. Other albums that COLONEL ABRAMS recorded are 'You And Me Equals Us', 'About Romance', 'Victim Of Loving You'. Two albums of COLONEL ABRAMS reached the billboard Top R&B Albums chart. The highest charted album was 'Colonel Abrams' from 1986. This album debuted 25 January 1986 on the Top R&B Albums chart and reached number 13 and lasted 34 weeks on this chart. Other charted albums are `You And Me Equals Us' #25 (Top R&B Albums)From 1984 till 2000 COLONEL ABRAMS released also eight singles. The first single COLONEL ABRAMS released in the eighties is 'Music Is The Answer' on PRT Records. Other released tracks are 'How Soon We Forget (1987 / MCA)', 'I'm Not Gonna Let You (1986 / MCA)', 'Speculation (1986 / MCA)', 'The Truth (1985 / MCA)'.

Colonel (his real name) is born in Detroit an moved to New York when he was ten. During the late '60s he performed with the group Conservative Manor which featured his brother Morris. In 1976 he sang lead vocals for 94 East (a group which featured Prince on guitar) before joining New Jersey group Surprise Package.

In 1984 he recorded a ballad Leave The Message Behind The Door', released on New York's Streetwise label. The follow-up was 'Music Is The Answer', which established Colonel on dancefloors both sides of the Atlantic. In 1985 he signed to MCA Records for a debut album Colonel Abrams, including 'Trapped' (UK Top 5) and 'The Truth' (UK Top 75). A second album was released in 1987: 'You And Me Equal Us' - including I'm Not Gonna Let You' (UK Top 30) and 'How Soon we are Forget'. In 1990 Larry Blackmon produced the single 'Bad Timing' for Colonel Abrams.
