Zinc - Street Level

In 1982 French producer Jacques Fred Petrus and Italian Mauro Malavasi released the album 'Street Level' for studio group Zinc. Zinc’s Street Level was the final record done by the Little Macho Music Factory. Both are famous producers for artists like Change, Ritchie Family, High Fashion, B.B.&Q. Band

Gordon Grody fronted Zinc as Lead singer. He was a white session singer who has recorded with many Soul and Rock artists like George Benson, David Bowie, Patti Austin, Luther Vandross and Talking Heads.

Street Level was originally released in September 1982 by Jive Records. The tunes on this album are inspired by then well-known producer/artist/writer Kashif. One track and single “Street Level” is an example of this. Don't forget the track “I'll Take My Changes”, the chilly “Punkulation” and the Chic-influenced "This Is Where The Love Is".

One year later in 1983 the single “I’m Livin' A Life Of Love” was released on Jive Records. The song was composed by Malavasi and have influences of "Searching" by group Change.

On this reissue there are six bonus tracks including “I’m Livin' A Life Of Love” which is never released on an album. An extended version of "This Is Where The Love Is" makes this reissue complete. Many Thanks to Vinyl-Masterpiece
